Valentines Day

Usually Joe and I go out on Valentines day by ourselves. But this year we got an invite from Casey and Shelley to do a group dinner. It was so fun! We started out with a yummy mexican dinner at their house. Then we played the newlywed game and after a close battle with Travis and Sunni, me and Joe won! Well, we got the prize anyways.

Then the real fun started! Us girls left to set everything up for the scavenger hunt we sent the boys on! With the clues we gave them, they had to go to QT, then they made their way to PacSun where we had picked out some AWESOME shirts for them, and they had to pick which one they thought their wife chose. Sorry Joe, I know you wanted the lime green shirt, but I got you the pink v-neck! And yes, that is the movie theater we are at. That was the last place they had to go. All of us girls were cracking up as this handsome group of guys came walking in in these bright shirts! The girls!The group!

We were so glad that the guys were such good sports. We didn't know if they would really wear the shirts, but they did! It was such a fun night! Thanks for a fun night everyone!

Update

Well, I really needed to do a new post, but there hasn't really been anything that interesting to write about, so I figured I would just put up, what else, but a cute picture of Keelie. She will 14 months in a few days. She is as cute and sweet as ever! Even though she is starting a biting phase. I am horrified! I don't know what to do. Luckily her first victim was her cousin Hailee (sorry Cara). I'm just glad it was someone we know instead of some kid at the gym. You never know how a parent will react. I'm really hoping it is because she is teething. And once they have all broken through, she won't feel the need to bite anymore. I'm crossing my fingers! She is currently working on her 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th teeth. One of them has broken through, and I can see the others just waiting to cut through. She really is sweet and loves to give kisses and say ahwy (sorry) whenever she hurts someone.

My little GIRL

I never knew having a little girl would be so much fun. Keelie definately loves everything girly. She loves dolls and loves pushing them in her stroller. She brings her favorite doll "Lolly" with her wherever we go. Keelie loves to cook in her kitchen and feed Lolly and give her kisses. She also loves make up. Sometimes I let her play with mine while I am putting it on. She is so smart and knows which brush I use for eyeshadow cuz she will take it and brush her eyelids with it! I do have to watch her a little more closely now cuz she lost my concealer! She loves jewelry too. As you can see in the picture below she puts anything that looks like a necklace around her neck. That red strand of beads came off our Christmas tree. She will also take her bracelet on and off a million times too. But even though she loves girly things, her ball is also one of her favorite toys! She's got a pretty good arm for a 1 year old!

One day last week we woke up and found that Keelie had thrown up all over her crib sometime during the night. It was pretty much her dinner from the night before. So gross! Anyways, it got on her bumper, and my first thought was to try to scrub it by hand. But I read the tag and it said you can machine wash it. So I put in the washer, and we have and older one, so I had to stuff it in. A little while after I had started it, I heard it making a really loud noise. So I run over and open it to find the bumper looking like this. It is ripped and has a burn mark on it, and the throw up didn't come out either! I was so mad and sad at the same time. I was mad cuz I knew it was my fault. I knew I should have just hand washed it! I was sad because I love her bedding, and I know that Pottery Barn is not cheap! I wanted to cry and punch a whole through the wall at same time! The good thing is that it is only in that one spot, so I just made it so that part is in the back of the crib facing the wall. It works, but it just isn't the same! I don't thing I will ever forgive myself for that! Oh, and Keelie was fine. She was her normal happy self in the morning, so I still even went to work that day. I guess thats what really matters, right!

New Years Eve

We had a really fun New Years this year. We usually hang out with family at my parents house, but this year we decided to make a whole date night out of it. First we dropped Keelie off at Joes parents for a sleepover, then we went to dinner at The Olive Garden. It was so good! We hadn't been there forever. Then we went to see the movie Valkurie (i don't know if I spelled it right). Joe was really surprised I agreed to see it, cuz I usually don't like movies about war and fighting, but this didn't really have that much, just a little at the beginning. It was really good! Then we went to my friend Alyssa's, who throws a party every year and at midnight they make crepes! We actually left without having any crepes because we were tired and I had to work the next morning, but they looked so good!

In November we got our family pictures taken. Annie Randall did such a good job! We seriously had the hardest time choosing! These are just four of the many pictures that we loved.

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas this year. We were gone pretty much the whole day, except we came home for about an hour and a half so Keelie could take a nap. On Christmas Eve we had dinner at Joes aunt and uncles house. His aunt Cindy makes a huge mexican feast. It is seriously the best mexican food I've ever had! Then we ran over to my grandparents for a little bit, but by the time we got there everyone was already leaving, so we just stayed for a minute. Then on Christmas morning we went to my parents for a big breakfast with my dads side of the family. So yummy! We hung out there the rest of the day playing rockband that my brother got for Christmas. I had never played before, it was really fun! I was pretty dang good at the vocals! (yeah right!). After that we went home so Keelie could take a good nap. When she woke up, it was off to Joes parents for dinner and the white elephant gift exchange. We always have a good time with Joes competitive family!

Also, I always like to do an update on Keelie after her doctors appts. but I forgot to do it with her birthday post. Anyways, she is 19 lbs (20th percentile), 30 in. (75th), and her head is 18 1/2 in. (95th). So she is skinny and tall, with a big Goodman head! I love it though!

My little baby turned one today! I can't believe it! Where has all the time gone? We had a fun party for her at the park. Here are a few pictures of her opening her presents and eating her cake.

My sister bought a really cute gigantic cupcake pan and let me use it. Well it turned out all right until I frosted it. It just looked really ugly, so I took the top off and just used that for her cake. That is why it looks like a pink volcano. (nice face I'm making)

I hope Keelie had a good birthday. It didn't start out so good because she wasn't feeling well. But once we put her on the swing at the park, she forgot all about it! Keelie is such a sweet girl, and I love her personality that is starting to come out. She makes friends where ever she goes! We love you Keelie!!!!
