My little Rebel

We were having fun with the camera tonight taking pictures of Keelie. We decided to try a family shot but I guess Keelie was sick of it all so decided to be a little rebelious. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come! I think she gets that from her dad. Look at her finger in the third photo!I think I mentioned in another post how Keelie has started sucking her thumb. We are trying hard to break her of that habit. In this picture she has BOTH thumbs in her mouth!!!

Spring Break

What a funfilled spring break we had this year! I was excited because since Joe is a teacher, he gets the week off! But because he is coaching baseball he had a tournament Monday thru Thursday. It wasn't that bad cuz he only had one or two games a day. I still had to work anyways. But I was able to go watch a couple of games which was fun. What a lucky guy Joe is that he has a wife that is willing to watch games that he isn't even playing in!jk. Then on Friday we got to sleep in, then we washed my car which desperately needed it! That afternoon Joes sister and her family came over to go swimming. It was fun taking Keelie swimming for the first time. I'm pretty sure she liked the water. She was just chillin' like she does when we give her a bath. On Saturday we slept in again, then we had a family reunion at the park. And my family decided to have our Easter dinner together that night because my brother in law was going out of town on Sun. Then on Sunday we slept in again! The funny thing is that when I say we slept in, that means until like 7 or 8. I remember when sleeping in meant like 10 or later! Then we went to church, came home, hung out at my parents for a little bit, then went to Joes parents house for Easter dinner. We finished the night off by playing a heated name game with Joes family. We had a very fun week and needless to say it was really hard waking up this morning! Keelie and daddy in the pool. I did have a picture of all three of us but there is no way I am putting a picture of me in a swim suit on here 3 months after having a baby!Keelie in her Easter dress! She loves her little lamb that my mom bought her for Easter. It's as big as she is! So stinkin' cute!!

3 Months!!!

I can't believe that my baby is 3 months old already! Time really does just fly by. Keelie is the sweetest baby ever. She is happy all the time and it is so fun to see her learn new things. She has been sleeping through the night since she was about 2 months old. She doesn't roll over yet but is so close. She rolls to her side and I know she will go all the way any day now. She recently discovered her hands and has started sucking her thumb. We are trying to nip that in the bud before it becomes habit. She talks and coos all the time and is getting louder and louder. We are in the primary and at church on Sunday she was talking so loud the chorister challenged the kids to sing louder than her! It was so cute! She won't take a bottle anymore. If we try to give her one she screams like we're torturing her. I don't mind nursing her but it just makes it hard if we want to leave her with one of our parents or something. If anyone has advice for me i'd love to hear it! Joe and I are so thankful to finally have our little Keelie. She is such a great blessing in our lives and I couldn't imagine life without her! Keelie loves her "Happy Hippo"! She had rolled to her side and got her leg stuck on the side of the little green thing and then was playing with hanging toy with her other foot. It was so cute!I love her in her little zebra outfit!

Fun With Cousins

Well we are so excited to have the final addition to the foursome! Keelie is so lucky to have three cousins on the Goodman side of the family that are so close together. Annie was born in October, Keelie in December, Lucy in January, and finally Kate arrived in February. I am so excited to see these girls grow up and play and be the best of friends. They were all born at the new Banner Gateway Hospital in Gilbert by the same doctor, Dr. Greg Layton. So if you go to the office of Dr. Beck, Layton, Tutt, or McNeil, you will probably see this same picture hanging in their office. Dr. Layton is the best doctor and I highly recomend him for anyone looking for a new obgyn. I also want to mention that my sister Brittney is expecting a baby girl, Kendall, in June, so that will be Keelies fourth cousin that is super close(she also goes to Dr. Layton). They will all be in the same grade too. Hopefully she will be able to attend the same school as atleast one of them. Joe is already planning the foot race for the girls. His family is super competitive. I guess we should wait for Kendall though, because the Penrods are pretty competitive as well. I hope that these girls can be as good as friends as me and my cousin Heidi Steiner were growing up. Even though we don't get to hang out as much anymore, mainly because she lives in Glendale, I still consider her one of my best friends.

Blessing Day

Since this is my first post, I thought I would start with Keelies blessing. Her blessing was performed by her dad on Feb. 3, 2008. All of our family was there except for my sister Stephanie who lives in Texas and Joes sister Laura who was out of town. Despite us almost being late and Joe being really sick, everything went really well. Joe gave her an amazing blessing and I was so proud of him. Keelie looked so stinkin' cute. Joes mom bought Keelie the prettiest blessing dress, my sister Cara made her the bow and I made her a bracelet. My sister Brittney said she tried to write the blessing for us, but so far I haven't seen anything (hint hint). But thats alright because some lady in our ward who I don't even know came up to me after and said she had short handed it and emailed it to me the next day. It was a great day and since it was a month ago I hope I was able to remember all the details.
