Christmas

We had a great Christmas again this year. We spent Christmas Eve at my grandparents house. Christmas morning we had breakfast with my dads side of the family at my cousins house. Then we went out to my sisters house to open presents with my family. Then home for naps and so I could make chicken enchaladas for dinner at Joes parents house. It was a fun day and we all got some good stuff from Santa. It was so fun to watch Keelie open presents. She was practically shaking opening each present cuz she was so excited. It was like she couldn't open them fast enough.
These are the only pictures I took all day.

Keelie turned 3!!

My baby girl turned 3 on Monday! We had a family birthday party for her at the zoo on Saturday. I think there was about 35 people there. It was all first cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents from both sides of the family. The funny thing is, not even everyone was there! Keelie sure has alot of people that love her!
I thought this first picture was cute of her and some of her little cousins holding hands.

I think all the kids got to ride on the camels. I only took a picture when Keelie rode though.
This is Kendal, Kate, Keelie, and Lucy

Keelie has so many little girl cousins around the same age, I wanted to get a picture.
Hailee, Kendal, Keelie, Hannah, Kate, Annie, Abby. Lucy had already left.

Our family

On her actual birthday, we left Hadlie with Joe's sister and we took Keelie to see Tangled. It was her first time going to the movie theater. She loved it! We love our Keelie Jo so much. She has quite the personality. She can be soooo shy and quiet, but when she comes out of her shell, she is so silly and fun. She can be so layed back and easy going, but at the same time is OCD. Is that possible? Aren't they opposites? It's so true though. She is such a good big sister to Hadlie. She always wants to keep an eye on her for me. And I actually let her sometimes. If I need to go get ready, I will leave Hadlie on the floor with some toys, and tell Keelie that if she cries give her her pacifier. She does that, but will also play with her and try to make her happy. She is so sweet. It's no wonder Hadlie loves Keelie so much. We love her too!

sitting up

Hadlie is getting pretty good at sitting up. She shouldn't be big enough to sit up already! She is my baby! It's fun to look back on my blog when Keelie was a baby to see when she hit certain milestones and compare to Hadlie. I still need to be way better at taking pictures and blogging about Hadlie. I want to remember for when we have our next baby(not an announcement). Eventhough I'm not very good at blogging, I'm so glad I do. It makes for a pretty good journal!

6 months

My Hadlie girl is 6 months old. I can't believe it. She is such a good, sweet baby. She is at such a fun age. She is so happy and smiley all the time and its fun to get her to laugh. Keelie is the best at getting her to laugh. All Keelie has to do is jump and Hadlie will laugh at her. She has been able to roll over for a few months now, but is stubborn and stays on her back most of the time. If I put her on her stomach she rolls right back over. But I think she is starting to figure out that she can get to things if she rolls over. And apparently what I thought was a tooth a few months ago isn't one. A lady I work with said her daughter had the same thing and her doctor said it was a milk pocket. Which makes sense because it hasn't grown at all like a tooth would have by now. But a few weeks ago she did get her bottom two teeth. Anyways, here are her stats:
weight- 15.12 50th
height- 27 1/2 95th
head- 171/4 85th
She is gonna be tall!

You can see her two bottom teeth in this picture.

Halloween

What a fun halloween we had this year! I wasn't to excited about it cuz it was on Sunday this year, but it ended up being a fun night! On Saturday Joes parents ward and another ward have chili and fry bread every year, so we went and ate there. Its actually for the whole neighborhood, so there is alot of people there. Its fun cuz we always see alot of people we know there. Then we went to my parents. Their ward had a big carnival type thing with food, bounce houses, games for the kids, and of course trunk or treating. There was alot of people there too, so Keelie got a good stash of candy. It was so cute hearing her say trick or treat so politely everytime.
I let her pick her costume and I knew she was going to choose Cinderella. Prettiest Cinderella ever!

Hadlie is a witch if you can't tell. I know, she kind of looks like an elf. The hat is a little small. My sisters little girl wore it when she was like 2 weeks old and Hadlie is 5 months! (and my kids tend to have huge heads) She was such a good sport all night!

hot sauce packets

We went to Taco Bell for lunch today and as usual, we grabbed way to many packets of hot sauce. Keelie was holding a ton of them in her hands and right when we were leaving she dropped all but two of them. She was definately tired from playing all morning at the train park, and started throwing a fit. Not knowing exactly why she was crying, we made her leave. As we're driving away she was crying saying she wanted 3 not 2. Of course we told her no cuz there is no way we are going back to Taco Bell to get one packet of sauce, so she cried and cried the whole way home. When we got home she went straight to bed, but was still crying. Then I remembered we had saved a few packets from when we had Taco Bell a while ago, so I went and got one for her. This seemed to make her happy and this is how she fell asleep, holding tightly to her beloved Taco Bell hot sauce.

4 months

So I was excited to do Hadlie's 4 month post. She has changed more and learned alot of new things. Her 3 month one wasn't too exciting because not much had changed from the 2 month one. Anyways, she can roll over now. She has rolled from front to back and back to front, but doesn't do either very often. I'm not very good about doing tummy time and was getting worried when she wouldn't lift her head up when I did do it. But I finally started putting things for her to look at in front of her and she will hold her head up and look at them for awhile. Hadlie also had her first tooth break through! She wasn't even 4 months old when we first saw it.
Here are her 4 month stats:
weight- 13.05 lbs. 50%
height- 26 1/4 in. 97%
head- 16 1/4 in. 55%
some cute pictures:

Best friends!

She is so long. I new she was going to be tall!

holding her head up! Yeah!

Her new favorite thing is sucking on her toes!

Dance party!

We had a play date last week with Kaci and Ava Adair and Jill and Zoe Fischbeck. The girls were playing dress-up and looked so cute, so we turned on some music and it turned into a dance party!

It looks like Keelie is crying but she is just laughing.

I think Keelie can walk in heels better than me! She was even jumping in them!

So cute!

The other day I was in the bathroom getting ready when Hadlie woke up from a nap. Keelie says "I will keep an eye on her all by myself" and ran into Hadlie's room. I didn't really know what that meant, but said ok. A few minutes later I hear Keelie yell " Mom! I can't carry her!". So I go into her room and Keelie had climbed into Hadlie's crib and was apparantly trying to pick her up. Luckily Hadlie was too heavy for her. Hadlie had know idea what was going on, she was just happy as can be with her big sister in her crib with her! These girls are so stinkin' cute!

Monday, September 6, 2010

We went up to my grandparents ranch this weekend. We had so much fun! These little trips are so much more fun now that Keelie is older. She absolutely loves it up there! She is outside the majority of the time. And she was so sad when it was time to go home. Here are some pictures from our trip. I don't think I've put a family picture on here in awhile. I look pretty gross in that top picture, but we're in the mountains, so oh well!

We put Hadlie and Carver in the swing together. They were actually pretty good for awhile. It was so cute how their legs were intertwined. So stinkin' cute!

The rest of the pictures are pretty much Keelie. This is Keelie and Kendal playing in the sandbox. She kept giving me this really cheesy smile. She's so silly!

Going for a walk on daddy's shoulders. (cheesy smile again)

Keelie and Kendal on the Big Green Tractor.

Phoebe, Keelie, and Hailee playing barbies.

You can usually find Keelie on the swing, her favorite thing to do.

3 months

I got a text from my sister in Texas saying I needed to update my blog. And I really need to be better at taking pictures of Hadlie. We took like a million pictures of Keelie when she was a baby, but not very many of Hadlie. It's funny cuz Hadlie wears pretty much everything that Keelie wore, and when she's wearing something that I know we have a picture of Keelie in I want to take a picture of Hadlie in it cuz they look so much alike! One of these days i'll actually do it. But here is our sweet Hadlie at 3 months. She is still a great baby. So happy all the time, well most of the time. No complaints here! (And yes that spot on my couch is from spit up. I really need to clean my couches!)

This is Keelie on the first day of her playtime class (kind of a mini preschool). When I tell her say cheese, this is the face I get. I have since learned to say smile instead of say cheese. I wanted get one of her with her cute little backpack on and one with her teacher Miss Shari, but of course I forgot. She is so cute and loves to go to Miss Shari's. She is such a smart little girl. A few weeks ago I bought her The Letter Factory from Target and within two days she knew all the letters and their sounds.

Joe took this picture of Keelie. I thought it was so cute and sweet.

Potty training is going better. She pretty much has going pee down and can even go all by herself. Actually she won't even let me or Joe go with her at all. We're still working on #2 though.

2 months

Here is my baby at 2 months. She is the sweetest thing ever! She smiles all the time now and coos and makes cute noises. She has slept through the night 3 times now, so we're hoping she'll keep it up. If she does it again tonight we are moving her to her crib in her room (she is still in a bassinet in our room). Here are her stats from her dr. appt.
weight: 11.9 lbs. 75%
height: 24in. 95%
head: 15in. 50%
I knew she was going to be tall. I have been saying how much she has grown, and I was right! It doesn't look like she has the big Goodman head like Keelie does though. She is a great eater. I'm just nursing right now, she eats for 10 min. total and is good for 3-4 hours. I don't know how we keep getting these good, easy babies, but I'm sure glad we do!

Now on to this this little girl. Keelie was probably the easiest baby ever, but is now turning into quite the little stinker. She can be the sweetest thing ever, and the next minute be grumpy as can be. She does have a fun little personality and loves to be silly with her dad. We are in the process of potty training. Why didn't anyone tell me potty training was so hard? I would have just paid someone to come do it for me! jk. She seriously just does not want to go on the potty. When we ask her if she needs to go or just tell her to try to go, she screams No! I don't want to! She has been doing better the last few days and hasn't had very many accidents. She just doesn't pee very much. We try and get her drink juice, water, capri suns, etc., but she just won't drink. I guess she is like me and just doesn't drink much. (I have to force myself to drink water throughout the day, and I still don't come close to how much your supposed to drink a day.) I'm just hoping she'll have it down by next Friday when Joe has to go back to work. It has been so nice having him home to help!
I also have been wanting to put Keelie in some type of class like preschool, or dance, or something like that. If anyone knows of someone who takes 2 1/2 yr olds let me know!

Pictures

My cousin-in-law Jenny took these adorable pictures of Keelie and Hadlie for me. She did such a good job. There were so many cute ones it was hard to decide which ones i liked the most. I kept meaning to get some newborns of Hadlie, but kept putting it off. I think she around 3 weeks here.

Thanks Jenny!
