Easter

We had a really fun Easter this year. We have WAY to much candy, and I can't stop eating it! On Saturday we celebrated at my parents house with my family. We had a yummy dinner, decorated eggs, and of course had an Easter egg hunt.

time for an update

I haven't posted in awhile so I thought I would do a quick update with the pictures I have taken recently. I went to lunch with my friends this week. So fun. I haven't seen them forever. I have been friends with most of these girls since like 2nd grade, and the others since jr. high. Jacque(pregnant), Lisa, Alyssa(pregnant), Evonne(pregnant w/twins!), Tarah(pregnant), Brooke, me, Tiffany I love my girls! They definately have different personalities. Lets just say that Hadlie is alot harder than Keelie ever was as a baby. She is so opinionated and stubborn. She is still sweet as can be, but if she wants something or doesn't like something, she will let you know! Keelie has been especially sweet lately. Like yesterday she said to me about 25 times out of the blue "I love you so much mommy!" Sometimes I forget she is only 3 cuz she acts so much older. I don't know why, I must say it alot, but she has been saying "Oh my gosh!" so much lately. Last night she said to Joe "Oh my gosh daddy, you are so silly!". She says it when she is happy or mad. It's pretty funny.

I just thought this was a cute picture. We were at Joes baseball game and she stood up and said "Mom, take a picture of me at dads baseball game" so I did!

Spring Break

We had a really fun spring break this year. Joe, of course, had the week off so Monday morning we headed up to the cabin with my sister and her family. But before we could make it to the cabin, Joe took us on another adventure. We stopped at Tonto Natural Bridge, which is just north of Payson. I didn't know what to expect, but it was pretty cool. We started up at the top in that first picture, then hiked down. You can see it kind of looks like a huge cave but it goes through and its just this huge natural bridge, hence the name. I don't know why I didn't take a better picture of it so you can tell what it is. And you can walk across that man made bridge and go directly under it. You can even climb some rocks and go through it but we didn't because we had the little kids.

We were there for about an hour or two, then we were off to the cabin. We had fun and did the usual cabin stuff: went on walks, played outside with the kids, we went and visited Joes brother Mark and his family who live in Snowflake. One of the days we drove up to Fool Hollow Lake in Show Low and had a picnic. The girls had fun feeding the ducks. One of the ducks almost bit Kendals finger off! We all had fun and got a little sunburned.

Keelie and Kendal are so cute. They play so well together and can be the best of friends, but some days, especially if one of them is tired, you can't get them to stop fighting.

Flat Iron

Joe took us on another adventure on Presidents Day. He had been talking about it for a month but I don't think anyone thought we were really going to do it, besides Joe. A month or so ago he hiked Flat Iron in the Superstitions with his priest quorum, and said how hard and fun it was and wanted to do it again. Well we did it, and it was hard! I wouldn't even call it a hike, we climbed straight up the mountain. We were literally on all fours climbing up rocks. There were a few times Joe had to pull us up over the rock or I don't think we could have done it. We would come to certain points and I would look up and just laugh and say to Joe "we're seriously climbing up that? there is no way!" But somehow we made it to the top, and it was so cool. The sky was so clear you could see so far. You can tell in the pictures how high we were. I'm not normally scared of heights but it was kind of freaky standing next to the edge.

9 months

My little Hadlie madlie is 9 months old! Here is a little bit about Hads at 9 months: She has been teething like crazy. That combined with her being sick was not fun! Her 4 top teeth have been coming through one right after the other so she has had no break from the pain. Finally this last week she has been so much happier. She is back to her sweet, happy self (for the most part). Its seriously like she is a different baby. Poor girl was so miserable! She still can't crawl. Maybe I should say she won't crawl, because I swear she could if she would just try. She uses her arms to turn herself in a full circle, but then just gives up and just rolls. One of these days its just gonna click and she'll be able to do it. She loves Keelie and gets so excited to see her. I love it when they interact and Keelie shares her toys with Hadlie. They are so cute! She is a great eater. She is loving graham crackers right now, and wants pretty much whatever we are eating. She can say dada and mama. She claps and waves which is so stinkin cute!

Going to the river

Last Saturday we were trying to think of something fun to do as a family, and Joe came up with the idea to go to the river. I wasn't necessarily against it, I just didn't exactly know what we would do at the river. But I am so glad we went because we had so much fun. We called Keelie's cousin Annie to come along with us. The first place we went to was up Power Rd. right before it curves. We walked along the river for a ways, and the girls had a blast walking in the jungle (thick trees and bushes), and getting to take turns being the leader. Of course I forgot my camera in the car so I didn't get any pictures of that part. Then we hopped back in the car and drove just a little bit farther up the road and found another fun spot to walk around. The girls had fun throwing rocks in the water. We were able to get right up to the water, even though there wasn't a whole lot of it. It was such a fun little Saturday afternoon activity. We will definately be going back soon. These pictures are all from the 2nd place we went to.
