Keelies early birthday present

We got Keelie an early b-day present yesterday. A play kitchen set! I know it might seem weird to get a 1 year old a kitchen set, but my mom has one at her house and Keelie will play with it forever! She loves to open and shut all the doors, and throw all the dishes on the floor. I have been looking on craigslist and found a few, but they still seemed expensive for being used. So we were at Walmart and saw this one and knew she would love it cuz it has SIX doors for her to open and shut. The counter is a little tall for her, but she will grow into it. All she cares about right now are the doors anyways!

Halloween

I was so excited for Halloween this year! Now that we have Keelie I think all holidays will be so much more fun. Every year Joes parents ward has a chilli cook off, fry bread, and homemade rootbeer on Halloween so we went to that. Their building is close enough to walk, and on the way home, we trick-or-treated to only a few houses of people we knew. Keelie is to young for all that candy, and I sure didn't want to eat it!

Trip to the park

On Friday we were bored, so we decided to go to the park and have a picnic and feed the ducks! So we made some sandwiches and off we went. The weather was sooo nice. If it had been any later in the day I might have needed a sweatshirt or something! Keelie loves it outside. We had to keep her from eating leaves though. It was also her first time on a swing. She loved it! As soon as we would push her a little bit, she would smile so big! I am excited to for the weather to cool off so we can go to the park more often! Oh, and I know I look gross in this picture, I didn't really get ready that day, but Joe instisted on taking a picture of me and Keelie.

Silly Girl

My little Keelie cracks me up sometimes. This is Keelie getting into her treasure chest. It is actually a basket that has a bunch of random stuff in it like diapers, wipes, toys, thermometer, fingernail clippers, snot sucker thing, and probably other stuff I can't think of right now. I call it the treasure chest because Keelie will go squeeze in between the couches and pull out something to play with. Everytime it is something different. Sometimes its an actual toy, and sometimes its the snot sucker(a favorite of hers), or something else. Then she will carry it around with her the rest of the day, or until she forgets about it. She is so funny!
We usually rock Keelie to sleep at night and for naps and stuff. But tonight we decided it was time to let her go to sleep on her own. It only took an hour of crying and she was out! Actually that hour seemed like an eternity. It made me so sad to hear her crying and not go in to get her. Hopefully it won't take that long tomorrow! After about a half hour or fourty five minutes Joe went and peeked in on her and she was just standing up crying. So sad! After she stopped crying we went in to check on her and this is how we found her, fast asleep!

Just another side note: When I did Keelies 9 month post I mentioned how I thought she was getting her molars but the doctor said she is to young. Well I was right!! 3 molars have broken through! I can feel and see them! I'm sure the 4th one will break through anyday, her gums are way swollen. Thank goodness for motrin! So she now has 11 teeth and she isn't even 10 months old yet! She had a pretty rough time with these teeth. She is still such a happy girl though. I love taking her shopping with me. She is so fun! She is so happy the whole time and smiles and waves at everyone that passes by. She is already more outgoing than I am! I sure love her!

Goodman Family Camping Trip

This last weekend was the annual Goodman camping trip at Christopher Creek. I was kind of nervous because I didn't know how Keelie would do, but she did great! While the rest of the family went up Friday and stayed 2 nights, we decided to just go up Saturday and stay for 1 night. (And we had co-ed softball Friday night that we didn't want to miss). The weather was really nice. It was cold in the mornings and at night, but during the day it warmed up, but not to warm! We spent alot of time sitting around the campfire, playing cards, and going for hikes.

Oh, and I also wanted to announce that Joe just got hired as the head baseball coach at Carson Jr. High! We are so excited! Last year he was an assistant varsity coach at Mt. View, which he loved, but now he gets to be the head coach! I am excited because he gets paid more for less time. I will get to see my husband twice as much as I did last baseball season! Yeah for Joe!

9 Months

Keelie is 9 months old today! Can you believe it? She had her dr. appt. yesterday and she weighs 17.6 lbs (45th percentile), is 28 in. tall (60th), and her head is 18 in. (90th). Yep, she definately has the Goodman head! They are known for their big heads. I love it though! I still can't believe how much she grows from month to month. It is so fun to watch her learn new things. She doesn't crawl on her hands and knees, she does the army crawl. She is getting pretty fast! She loves standing against the couch or anything she can reach. She would stand all day if she could! She is a really good eater (she must get that from me). She eats pretty much anything we give her. She especially loves graham crackers and honey nut cheerios! As you can see in the second picture she has alot of teeth. She had 8 teeth before she was even 8 months old! I think she might even be getting another one. It's hard to tell cuz its a molar. The doctor said she is a little young to get those yet, but I swear she is! Some days she drools and drools, and sticks her finger in the side of her mouth and just naws on it. I guess we'll find out soon if she is! She loves giving kisses!(mostly to babies and her dolls). She does the usual open mouth kiss that most babies do, but she also can pucker and gives big smackers too. It is so cute! She still loves books. This morning she sat and looked at book for 20 min.! I was pretty impressed that it kept her attention that long. I love my baby girl so much. She is so sweet and I love being able to spend everyday with her! Trip to the Cabin

This weekend we went up to my grandparents cabin in Pinedale. We had fun spending time with family and enjoying the GREAT weather! Keelie had so much fun because we spent alot of time outside. Here she is playing with dad!

Keelie kept getting scratches on her face. I don't know how she got the one on her cheek, but I think the one just below her eyebrow is from her scratching herself, and the one right next to her eye is from trying to get her into the car too fast during the rain and bumping her against the car. She had a rough time! So sad!
