8 years

Today is our anniversary.  I can't believe its been 8 years!  We celebrated this weekend by shipping the girls off to grandmas house for a sleepover, then went to the temple and dinner.  Then in the morning we got massages.  We even sprung for the 1 1/2 hour massage.  It still went by way too fast!  I must say that I have the best husband ever!  I love you Joe!

Hadlie turns 2!!

Hadlie celebrated her 2nd birthday on the 24th!  I asked her what she wanted and she said purple and cupcakes.  So I made her purple cupcakes.  We had some family over for cake and ice cream and she got lots of fun presents. 

Hadlies 2 year stats are:

What can I say about Hads?  She is definately one of a kind and has a mind of her own.  She is very stubborn and if she she doesn't get what she wants she throws the BIGGEST fit ever.  But she can also be the sweetest, funnest little girl ever.  She is very smart and speaks very well for her age.  She loves Keelie and copies everything she does.  She sticks up for Keelie way more than Keelie sticks up for her.  When we are at the day care at the gym and she sees someone take something from Keelie she will chase after them and get it back for her.  She loves babies but also loves barbies and princesses.  She knows all of the disney princesses names.  Even though Hadlie can be hard at times, we love her so much and are so glad she is in our family!

 Keelie had her 2nd ever dance recital.  She did such a good job.  Her and her cousin Kate didn't leave eachothers sides.  It was so cute. The first picture is dark, but Keelie is right in the middle, and Kate is to the right of her.

 Keelie also had her graduation from Toro Tots.  Its a little 5 or 6 week preschool at Mt.View that the students put on.  She had alot of fun.  There were a few little kids from our ward in her class.  She was a little nervous for the graduation.  She told me was not going to sing, and she didn't.  But atleast she got up and stood with the other kids.  Silly girl!

Keelie and Hads next to the trophy Joes team(mt. view) got for winning the Desert Mt. tournament a few weeks ago. It was pretty cool because alot of the top teams in the state were there, and they won!

the girls LOVE to go to the temple and see all the flowers. One time we went and there was a gardener guy that told us all the flowers were coming out in the morning so they could plant more, so he said they could pick all they wanted. They were in heaven!

Easter

Our Easter celebration lasted about a week this year. It started conference weekend, we had the usual beans and bread at Joes parents between sessions on Sunday, but we also did the big Easter egg hunt as well. The girls got tons of candy, of course, and ate most of it that day.

Spring Break

Why is it that holidays or any break from school take so long to get here and then are over before you know it? I had been looking forward to spring break for so long because Joe has the week off. We had a lot of fun but it went by way to fast. Not only is it great to have Joe home to help with the kids but he also helped with the housework. I got my wisdom teeth out the week before so I was a little behind. The break started off a little crazy. The Platt kids were in town from Prescott Valley so Karrie could recouperate after having a baby a week or 2 before. Hannah spent the night Sunday. Then on Monday we made a deal with Joes other sister Dyan that all the kids would spend the night at our house that night so they could have date night and then Tuesday they all spent the night at Dyans and Joe and I were able to go out. It turned out fun and we are talking about trading again sometime.

I did 5 little girls hair the next morning. It was alot of work! They all wanted side ponytails, but Keelie and Hannah were the only ones with hair long enough.

After I was done doing all that hair we went to the Az Museum of Natural History (the dinosaur museum). The kids had alot of fun. Its a really cool museum, I hadn't been there in years. Hadlie was so cute when we were walking around the dinosaur part she kept saying "mommy wook, mommy wook!" (mommy look), a bunch of times. I guess she thought the dinosaurs were cool.

They had room dedicated to all the movies that were filmed in Az. There were actually alot! Who knew? I assume this stage coach was from one of the movies.

We didn't even get to see the whole museum cuz the kids were all starving so we went home, ate lunch and put the girls down for a nap. Then later dropped them off at Dyans and Joe and I got to go on a date! It is so weird to wake up in the morning with no kids. I didn't get to fully enjoy the kidless morning cuz I had to go to work. The Platt kids went home later that day and the rest of the week was actually petty low-key. This morning was a little depressing when Joe had to go to work. The girls were sad and begging him to stay. I guess we will just start the count down to summer now!
