Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas this year. We were gone pretty much the whole day, except we came home for about an hour and a half so Keelie could take a nap. On Christmas Eve we had dinner at Joes aunt and uncles house. His aunt Cindy makes a huge mexican feast. It is seriously the best mexican food I've ever had! Then we ran over to my grandparents for a little bit, but by the time we got there everyone was already leaving, so we just stayed for a minute. Then on Christmas morning we went to my parents for a big breakfast with my dads side of the family. So yummy! We hung out there the rest of the day playing rockband that my brother got for Christmas. I had never played before, it was really fun! I was pretty dang good at the vocals! (yeah right!). After that we went home so Keelie could take a good nap. When she woke up, it was off to Joes parents for dinner and the white elephant gift exchange. We always have a good time with Joes competitive family!

Also, I always like to do an update on Keelie after her doctors appts. but I forgot to do it with her birthday post. Anyways, she is 19 lbs (20th percentile), 30 in. (75th), and her head is 18 1/2 in. (95th). So she is skinny and tall, with a big Goodman head! I love it though!

Keelie's first birthday

My little baby turned one today! I can't believe it! Where has all the time gone? We had a fun party for her at the park. Here are a few pictures of her opening her presents and eating her cake.

My sister bought a really cute gigantic cupcake pan and let me use it. Well it turned out all right until I frosted it. It just looked really ugly, so I took the top off and just used that for her cake. That is why it looks like a pink volcano. (nice face I'm making)

I hope Keelie had a good birthday. It didn't start out so good because she wasn't feeling well. But once we put her on the swing at the park, she forgot all about it! Keelie is such a sweet girl, and I love her personality that is starting to come out. She makes friends where ever she goes! We love you Keelie!!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Well I feel really behind. Everybody has already posted about Thanksgiving, and are already putting up pictures of their Christmas decorations! We spent this Thanksgiving at my parents house with my dads side of the family. We were there pretty much all day. We even took naps over there. Then later that evening we went and hung out with Joes parents since we didn't eat with them this year. Friday it was really nice weather so I wanted to do something outside. So we went to Gene Autry park and played sand volleyball with some of my family and some of Joes family. It was so fun! I haven't played volleyball since I've had Keelie. I want to try and play every weekend while the weather is so nice, so if anyone wants to play, give me a call! On Saturday morning we had a big family party to celebrate my grandparents 60th anniversary. Then later that afternoon we went with my parents, my brother, and my sisters to Freestone park to ride the train and play. (again taking advantage of the nice weather). This was the only time this whole weekend that I took pictures, so there are alot of them!

Funny story: As Keelie was crawling away I was taking pictures of her and calling her name, trying to get her to look at me. There was a little girl walking by whose name was Kaley and thought I was talking to her, so she was standing there waving at the camera with a really confused look on her face. Then her parents walked up and figured out that I was talking to KEELIE and not KALEY. They were probably wondering why I would be taking pictures of their daughter too! And I actually had no idea she was even there, cuz I was just looking at my camera the whole time!

Keelies early birthday present

We got Keelie an early b-day present yesterday. A play kitchen set! I know it might seem weird to get a 1 year old a kitchen set, but my mom has one at her house and Keelie will play with it forever! She loves to open and shut all the doors, and throw all the dishes on the floor. I have been looking on craigslist and found a few, but they still seemed expensive for being used. So we were at Walmart and saw this one and knew she would love it cuz it has SIX doors for her to open and shut. The counter is a little tall for her, but she will grow into it. All she cares about right now are the doors anyways!

Halloween

I was so excited for Halloween this year! Now that we have Keelie I think all holidays will be so much more fun. Every year Joes parents ward has a chilli cook off, fry bread, and homemade rootbeer on Halloween so we went to that. Their building is close enough to walk, and on the way home, we trick-or-treated to only a few houses of people we knew. Keelie is to young for all that candy, and I sure didn't want to eat it!

Trip to the park

On Friday we were bored, so we decided to go to the park and have a picnic and feed the ducks! So we made some sandwiches and off we went. The weather was sooo nice. If it had been any later in the day I might have needed a sweatshirt or something! Keelie loves it outside. We had to keep her from eating leaves though. It was also her first time on a swing. She loved it! As soon as we would push her a little bit, she would smile so big! I am excited to for the weather to cool off so we can go to the park more often! Oh, and I know I look gross in this picture, I didn't really get ready that day, but Joe instisted on taking a picture of me and Keelie.

Silly Girl

My little Keelie cracks me up sometimes. This is Keelie getting into her treasure chest. It is actually a basket that has a bunch of random stuff in it like diapers, wipes, toys, thermometer, fingernail clippers, snot sucker thing, and probably other stuff I can't think of right now. I call it the treasure chest because Keelie will go squeeze in between the couches and pull out something to play with. Everytime it is something different. Sometimes its an actual toy, and sometimes its the snot sucker(a favorite of hers), or something else. Then she will carry it around with her the rest of the day, or until she forgets about it. She is so funny!
We usually rock Keelie to sleep at night and for naps and stuff. But tonight we decided it was time to let her go to sleep on her own. It only took an hour of crying and she was out! Actually that hour seemed like an eternity. It made me so sad to hear her crying and not go in to get her. Hopefully it won't take that long tomorrow! After about a half hour or fourty five minutes Joe went and peeked in on her and she was just standing up crying. So sad! After she stopped crying we went in to check on her and this is how we found her, fast asleep!

Just another side note: When I did Keelies 9 month post I mentioned how I thought she was getting her molars but the doctor said she is to young. Well I was right!! 3 molars have broken through! I can feel and see them! I'm sure the 4th one will break through anyday, her gums are way swollen. Thank goodness for motrin! So she now has 11 teeth and she isn't even 10 months old yet! She had a pretty rough time with these teeth. She is still such a happy girl though. I love taking her shopping with me. She is so fun! She is so happy the whole time and smiles and waves at everyone that passes by. She is already more outgoing than I am! I sure love her!
